First Quarter of 2026
Although my time behind the wheel so far this year has been minimal, I’ve still been very busy with many exciting things. Between coaching, school, and staying involved at the track, I’ve been working hard to continue learning and improving both on and off the track while preparing for the next opportunity to race.
Lucas Oil Coaching
In January, I traveled down to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca to support Yana Kapoor in the opening round of the Lucas Oil Winter Series. Having finished 2nd in the Winter Series championship in 2025 and setting the lap record at Laguna Seca in Formula 4, I was eager to get back to the track and share any knowledge I could. Yana showed amazing improvement in the practice days leading up to the event, and she scored top 10 finishes in all 3 races. It was great to work through data, driving technique, and race craft with her throughout the weekend and see the progress translate into strong race results. Great job Yana!
Formula SAE Manufacturing
I find it very important as a driver to understand how the racecar works and how its design affects performance. After starting my first year of college in the fall at Oregon State University, I was eager to join my school’s Formula SAE team, Global Formula Racing. As a part of GFR’s aero team, I’ve gotten to learn all kinds of things about aerodynamics and how they work, carbon fiber manufacturing, how to network at table events, and how a full race team operates from the engineering side. All of these experiences have provided me with so many learning opportunities as a Mechanical Engineer while staying focused on a world that I’m familiar with: racing
World Speed F4 Support at Sonoma
At the beginning of the month, I headed to Sonoma Raceway to support World Speed Motorsports and their fleet of F4 drivers at the first 2 rounds of the Formula Pro USA Western Championship. The 4 drivers, Erik Doan, Scott Pyle, Yana Kapoor, and Austin Tiller showed pack-leading pace from the get go, with Erik scoring a 2nd place in both race 1 and race 2, Scott and Austin securing 3rd place in race 1 and 2 respectively, and Yana winning both races in the Women’s Racing Series (WRS) class! It was very encouraging to see the team I raced with and won the championship with in 2024 still showing great performances, and I was very happy to be able to show my support, help with driver coaching, and stay involved with the team.
FIA License
This past month, I received my Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) license, which is essential for competing in the next level of racing. The process requires consistent race results, experience, and maintaining a high level of professionalism on and off the track. It’s been a great motivation to continue improving through coaching, data analysis, and staying involved at the track. I’m excited for the opportunities this will open up and I look forward to taking the next step in my racing career.
GT4 Americas
At the end of March, I traveled to Sonoma Raceway to attend the Pirelli GT4 America Series weekend and support my long-time friend Casey Moyer, who was competing in the #137 Ford Mustang GT4 for LAP Motorsports. It was great to be in the SRO paddock and experience the event from a support and learning perspective. I spent time observing how the team operated throughout the weekend, which was a valuable opportunity to continue learning more about GT racing and professional race weekend operations. It was also great to catch up with many people in the paddock and stay connected within the racing community.
Looking Forward In 2026
As many of you know, racing at this level is incredibly competitive, but it is also a very expensive sport that requires significant funding to continue progressing. To compete in 2026, I am actively seeking additional partners and supporters who want to be part of this journey. With the right support behind me, I’m confident I can continue delivering results on track and representing my partners with professionalism off the track.
