Summer 2026

This summer has been filled with some great opportunities to stay involved in racing while continuing to learn and build connections both on and off the track. From hosting an automotive enthusiast group at World Speed, to competing with Global Formula Racing from Oregon State, and working with Andretti Global during the Portland IndyCar weekend, I’ve been fortunate to experience several different sides of the motorsports world. Each opportunity has given me a new perspective and helped me continue developing my knowledge and connections within the racing community.

 

Winning FSAE National Championship with GFR

As I continue my Mechanical Engineering degree at Oregon State University, I’ve also been staying busy with Global Formula Racing, our Formula SAE team. During my first year of engineering school, I joined the aerodynamics team and have been involved in the development and manufacturing of our aerodynamic package. Working on the team has given me the opportunity to apply what I’m learning in the classroom to an actual racecar. From aerodynamic development and design to manufacturing and working with the rest of the team, I’ve gained a much better understanding of the engineering process behind building and developing a competitive car. Our team competed at the Formula SAE Michigan competition in early June. Although I wasn’t able to attend the competition in person, the team put together an incredible performance, finishing 1st overall and showcasing the strength and capabilities of Global Formula Racing. It was great to see all of the hard work from the entire team pay off with such an impressive result. The team is currently in Europe competing in both Formula SAE Spain and Formula SAE Germany. I’m excited to see how they perform on the international stage and to continue contributing to the team as we look ahead to the next season.

 

Working with Andretti Global at Portland

I also had the opportunity to work with the engineering team for Andretti Global TWG Indycar during the OnlyBulls Grand Prix of Portland. This was an incredible experience and gave me valuable insight into how a professional IndyCar team operates throughout a race weekend. I was able to see the cars up close before the race and spend time around the team as they prepared for the weekend. During the race, I had the opportunity to be on the grid and in pit lane, giving me a firsthand look at the preparation, communication, and teamwork that goes into running an IndyCar event. I was also able to watch the race from the Andretti trailer with a radio headset, which gave me a unique perspective on the communication between the drivers and engineering team throughout the race. Being able to experience the weekend from the engineering side was an incredible learning opportunity and gave me an even greater appreciation for the level of detail and professionalism required at the highest levels of motorsport. A huge thank you to Andretti Global for their hospitality and for allowing me to be a part of the weekend. It was an experience I won’t forget, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue learning from people working at the highest level of racing.

 

Hosting The Lunch Bunch at World Speed

I recently had the opportunity to host The Lunch Bunch, an automotive enthusiast group in the San Francisco Bay Area, at World Speed. It was a great chance to share the history of World Speed and talk about my own journey in racing, including my experience driving for the team in Formula 4 during the 2024 season. I also gave the group a tour of the World Speed facility, showing them some of the cars and equipment throughout the shop, including the Formula 3 car, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, gym, simulator room, and other areas of the facility. It was great to share a behind-the-scenes look at the environment where I spent so much time during my racing career and explain more about what goes into operating a professional race team. Most importantly, the event was a great opportunity to build new connections and engage with other members of the local automotive and motorsports community. I really enjoyed being able to share my experiences and hopefully give everyone a better understanding of what happens behind the scenes in professional racing. A big thank you to Steve Tremulis and Mark Milazzo for organizing the event and giving me the opportunity to be a part of it!

 

Looking Forward to 2027

As I look ahead to the next racing season, I’m excited to build on everything I’ve learned and continue progressing both on and off the track. I’m currently seeking additional partners and supporters to help make the next season possible.
